I am a software engineer and creator of things. My mantra is Build things that make life better, not easier. I was one of the first few mobile engineers at Airbnb where I created Lottie, a vector animation library. I love collaborating and bringing designs to life.

I’m originally from Kentucky. I spent much of my childhood building forts in the forest near my house and making movies. Movies led to a passion in animation, which I studied at Savannah College of Art and Design. My senior thesis was an animated short film that won Best Original Story. My love for animation led me into software development, where I began by making animation tools.

My wife and I spent two and a half years living and working in a camper van. We travelled through the US, visiting National Parks along the way. We visited every National Park in the lower 48! I love taking photos, building things, and learning as much as I can about the world around me.

Today, we are settled in Kansas City.
