Wyoming / Montana

After a visit to the sweltering heat of KC we were ready to gain some altitude and lose some temperature. We drove across Kansas, Colorado, and Wyoming to land in one of our favorite towns, Jackson. We spent a week in Jackson, with the Tetons always looking over us. I spent much of the week in the Jackson city library working on a project while Linds hiked and explored.

We left Jackson and drove north to our other favorite town, Bozeman Montana. To get there we had to drive through Yellowstone - darn the bad luck.

We spent a week in Bozeman while I finished up the job I was working on — the Bozeman library is pretty nice! In 2018 we were in Bozeman on our way to northern Montana to visit Glacier National Park. A rather large fire broke out in Glacier and we were forced to skip it. Luckily this year there were no fires. After finishing up my job we drove north to spend some well earned time in Glacier.

Glacier is known as ‘The Crown Jewel of North America’ and you would be hard pressed to find another place worthy of the title. The park is famous for it’s Going-To-The-Sun Road — a 50 mile road that climbs up and over the continental divide. The road was featured in the opening shots of the Shining.
